SmallRig Standbys and Wishlist

Thus far I have found SmallRig's products to be affordable and long-lasting for several years of continuous use. Some of my commonly used items include tripods, cages, and gimbals to improve handling, reduce fatigue, and stabilize shots.

Here's a cheatsheet of some key items I'm either currently using or am looking to add to my kit and why.

1. SmallRig Camera Cage Kit for more comfortable and stable shooting. Having different options for hand placement using a cage has reduced hand and wrist fatigue during long work days.

2. SmallRig Camera Tripod has a horizontal, vertical and reversible head mount positioning so it has proven to be a versatile and lightweight tripod that works for traveling across the boroughs of NYC for food/product to real estate jobs.

3. When I'm filming, the SmallRig Universal Mount Plate with Rod Clamps paired with SmallRig's Carbon Fiber Rods handle the job without adding unnecessary weight.

4. Some work days are crazy long with shoots scheduled early in the morning and late into the evening. Ideally, it would be nice to return to the office to offload, edit, and process deliverables in-between shoots but we don't usually have the luxury due to travel time or distance, so that means that I'm editing on the go. The SmallRig Card Reader and Holder helps me safely store the cards and work off of them without fumbling with those little things out in the field.
